I will be studying abroad for 3 months at Veritas University in San Jose, Costa Rica. During my time there I will blog about my adventures. Knowing me, I'm sure there will be plenty shenanigins to report. I recently received my housing assignment, I will be living with my friend Steph in a host family's humble abode. I don't know much about them other then they are "a couple, with one dog, non-smoking Catholics, with cable and internet". I guess what more is there to really know?!
My flight is set to leave on September 23rd, just three days before my 21st birthday. I Suppose I'll have to wait another 3 months before "American debauchery" becomes legal for me. I'm sure my judgment will be much better then anyhow. Oh how sarcasm is ever so slightly difficult to convey without sound blurb attitude.
I'm so incredibly excited to have this opportunity, I intend to make the most out it. I'm super excited to meet new people, reshape my diet to consist of mainly tropical fruit and tequila, assume a new thick Costa Rica Spanish accent, take incredible pictures and learn all about tropical ecology, oh and surf my brains out!
Costa Rica, bring it on.
Kels, an adventure of a lifetime! Enjoy every minute of it. Can't wait to follow along.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Kelsey: Thanks for allowing us to be part of your adventure. You are a remarkable young woman. I have no doubt that you will contribute positively and memorably to Costa Rica, and that your experience there will significantly impact your life and your contributions elsewhere on this planet.
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Michelle
